CLAUDIA LOPEZ

Claudia López was born in 1983 in Del Río, Texas, with the blessing of music.  She surprised her parents when, after her first birthday, she beganb singing.  She wrote her first song at age 10.  The next year she was the
lead vocal at her elementary school choir entering her first statewide vocal competition at 13 years of age and earning the coveted 1st Place.  Numerous competitions followed.  The Texas songbird developed into a full-fledged soprano with intense hours of Opera training in Italian, French and German. She is now certified as one of the top two opera singers in the State of Texas and, surprise again, one of the best voices in Regional Mexican music today.
The curious fact is that no one else in her family is musically inclined. Yet, whether singing Opera, Pop music, Ranchero, Tejano  or R&B, Claudia Lopez delivers with precision, emotion and a love of music that is evident in every nuance of a song.    From the romantic and rhythmic cumbias
ABRAZAME,  UN POCO LOCA, ME DICES QUE TE VAS and ACARICIAME to the polka/conjunto sounds of LA DUEÑA and REGRESA, Claudia López is at home, enjoying and sharing her love of music with every listener.  Then she notches it up a bit with a pop/rock/cumbia fusion that is sure to defy classification PANZON.  Her emotion and her vocal mastery are evident even more so on the two ballads included.  She leans on Pop/Rock for her delivery of the acoustic "Siempre Te Amaré."  "CUANDO TE VAYAS," definitely the most emotional song on the album,  mixes the raw quality of a conjunto bolero with an unexpected operatic vocal styling that fits the song perfectly.
"I'm going with my heart on this one," Claudia stated as she went into the recording booth to record it.  One take and the song was complete, Claudia and her mother were crying and the whole staff was speechless. Such is the power and the artistry you will find in her debut album, "La Dueña" (The Owner).  Song by song, Claudia takes us on a love adventure framed with a fusion of Norteño, Tejano and Pop influences and backed by the top musicians, including Michael Rodríguez (Eddie Gonzalez, Emilio Navaira) on Keyboards,  Xavier Trejo (X-Man) (Eddie González) on Accordion, recording star Carlito (Carlos Rodríguez) also on Accordion, Eddie Pérez on Guitar, Eddie Pérez and Johnny Lee Rosas (Massizo, Xcezzo) on Bajo Sexto, award winning songwriter and producer Jorge Alejandro on Percussion and the young legend of drums, Joey Ramírez.

The songs were specifically written for Claudia by BMI award winning José Rosario, author of many hit songs by Eddie Gonzalez, Ram Herrera, Fama and others;  Miguel and Francisco Galindo, with previous songwriting credits for Limite and Alicia Villarreal; and Jorge Borrego, award winning songwriter of hits by Jennifer Peña, Control, Tropa F and many others.  Claudia López also delivers stirring and heartfelt compositions, including the awesome love anthem "Siempre Te Amaré" and the title track, "La Dueña."
